Te Rina's role as a Registered Nurse - Breast & Cervical Screening / Stop Smoking Practitioner enables her to provide information, education and support for women who require Breast & Cervical Screening assessment. She also prioritises being a strong advocate towards better health outcomes for pepi, tamariki, wahine and the entire whānau.

As a Stop Smoking Practitioner, Te Rina works with you to develop a customized quit plan. NRT (Nicotine Replacement Therapy) products such as gum, patches, or lozenges, are provided for at least four weeks. A follow-up call or visit within two weeks to reinforce successful coping strategies. With a review at the end of the plan to assess if additional support is required.

When away from work Te Rina appreciates spending time with her own children and mokopuna. She also makes times for biking and walking as a way to relax. Being around her own whānau gives her a great sense of pride and is also encouraged to see her whānau reach their full potential.

Te Rina is a Registered Nurse with a Post Graduate Diploma in Community Child and Family Health and is a qualified Stop Smoking Practitioner.
