When Awhina was asked what she will do for our community within her role here at Te Kupenga Hauora Ahuriri, her reply was: "I am here to offer as much support and guidance that I can give to our rangatahi. We are here to work as a whānau, and to help build a strong relationship with yourself and the community around you, so you are not alone, and you will be heard".

Outside of mahi Awhina enjoys socialising with friends and family; having a good catchup; eating lots of good food; travelling around New Zealand; going overseas; the Creative Arts & Makeup Artistry; educational learning; and Health & Wellbeing.

Awhina holds a Diploma in Beauty and Body Therapy, and a Certificate in Applied Practical Skills.
