Johnny is a Kaiārahi with the Kia Piki Te Ora Service at Te Kupenga Hauora - Ahuriri.  He enjoys connecting (Whanaungatanga) with other iwi/hapū, whānau and Organisations.

Johnny says he has the ability to liaise with people and agencies that would otherwise be or feel isolated to the services available to them.  An exponent of Mau Rākau in Te Whare Tū Taua o Aotearoa, Johnny runs programmes in Aotearoa and Australia.

As a bright “young” 60+ year old, Johnny is looking forward to receiving his Gold Card in the near future.

He has a Diploma in Early Childhood Education, a Masters in Traditional Māori Weaponry and a Trade Certificate in Painting and Decorating.
