The most important message Richard has for whānau is "don't be shy to ask for help, we all need some awhi at some point in our lives and we are here to offer that".

What Richard enjoys most about his role is making a positive impact on our rangatahi.

Outside of mahi Richard enjoys health & wellbeing, sports, kapa haka, diving, and spending time with whānau.

Richard's greatest achievements in life are his tamariki and whānau.

Richard holds a National Certificate in Māori Performing Arts (Level 4), and an Introduction to Social Work Certificate however, he says life is his greatest qualification.
