About the Role

As a Mana Ake Clinician, you will work predominantly with tamariki and rangatahi, supporting their mental health and wellbeing within school and community settings.

Key responsibilities include:

• Providing holistic wellbeing support to tamariki, rangatahi and their whānau.
• Assessing needs and working alongside whānau to identify goals, aspirations and pathways for success.
• Responding to referrals received from individuals, whānau, schools and external agencies.
• Building strong relationships with schools, community organisations and other stakeholders.
• Supporting community health promotion and wellbeing initiatives as required.

This is a 0.8 FTE position, worked across Monday to Friday, with occasional flexibility required for weekend community wellbeing events.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will bring:

• Experience working with tamariki and rangatahi.
• A holistic, strengths-based approach and genuine passion for supporting whānau in the community.
• The ability to work independently while contributing positively within a collaborative team environment.
• Strong organisational and communication skills.
• A sound understanding of Te Reo Māori and Tikanga Māori (desirable).
• A current Full New Zealand Driver Licence.
• Relevant clinical registration (full position description available upon request, dependent on registration).
